Frequently Asked Questions
What does the Bible say about worship?
Jesus said God must be worshipped 'in spirit and in truth' (John 4:24). The Bible teaches that worship involves praise, prayer, song, giving, and living a life devoted to God (Romans 12:1).
Why is worship important in Christianity?
Worship acknowledges God's worthiness and sovereignty. The Psalms repeatedly call believers to praise God. Revelation 4:11 says God is worthy because He created all things.
Is worship only about singing?
No — while singing is part of worship (Colossians 3:16, Psalms 96:1), the Bible presents worship as encompassing all of life. Romans 12:1 says presenting your body as a living sacrifice is 'reasonable service.' Worship includes prayer, giving, service to others, obedience, and doing all things to the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31).
