Why does God call us to repent?
God desires that none perish (2 Peter 3:9) and calls all to repentance out of His goodness and love (Romans 2:4). Jesus began His ministry proclaiming 'Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand' (Mark 1:15).
Is repentance a one-time event or ongoing?
While initial repentance marks conversion, the Bible presents repentance as an ongoing posture for believers.
